Compliance: Know the risks and protect yourself
The legislation relating to contracting with temporary workers is very complex, so it's important to know the details, and get it right. Our aim is to manage risk for every link in the employment chain-from the worker to the agency or contractor, and to the end-client.
- HMRC were invited to review our processes, and commended the lengths we go to ensure compliance
- HMRC granted us an 'expenses dispensation' in March 2009
- Gabem has CIS Gross status
- Gabem Management Limited (GML) is a single company - so cannot be deemed to be a 'Nominee' (MSC)
- We have a compliant, over-arching minimum hours contract with workers
- Our rigorous expense process ensures that claims are legitimate
- We carry out ID, right-to-work and FSA regulation checks
- We comply with National Minimum Wage and Holiday Pay regulations
- Insurance cover is included: Public (£5m) and Employer's (£10m) Liability, Professional Indemnity (£1m)
- Personal Accident cover for employees is available at low cost
- We have off-site disaster recovery and back-up
- Your contractors are paid on time with no hassle.
Regular audits by our advisers make sure that our operations comply fully with HMRC requirements
