Your main saving is going to be down to your ability to claim for the expenses you incur as you work (as much as we would like to take your word on how much you spend, we will of course need receipts to comply with the HMRC regulations. See our expenses section for details). This could be things like tools or travel costs or accommodation and meals if you’re working away from home, as long as your agency isn't refunding them. They can all make a real difference - adding as much as £40 for each £100 of expenses you claim.

The more expenses you submit the more you will take home. The majority of expenses we receive are for mileage, as going through an umbrella company you are able to claim for travelling to and from where you work, as well as travelling between sites during your day.
